Khao San Road (ถนน ข้าวสาร ), is the best know area among backpackers and budget
travelers in Bangkok. Scores of tourists from all origins are populating the numerous guesthouses
and small hotels at any given time of the year. Over the years, a number of travel agents and
tour companies have opened in the area, allowing pretty much every trip to be organized
throughout the Kingdom, with bus and minivan tours / transfers starting from there in all
directions. The pubs, clubs and other bar scene in Khao San Road are definitely worth a trip
to soak in the atmosphere of the area. The multitude of shops, Tattoo studios as well as
Internet café, completes the picture and fulfills the need of anyone far away from home.
Best to reach by Taxi or, river boat.
How to get there?
Take the BTS Skytrain to the National Stadium Station or the
subway/metro (MRT) to the Hua Lamphong station. Take a taxi from there.
